C3A Cells-Inoculated Affinity Membrane for Bilirubin Removal

چکیده
Affinity membranes have the potential to enhance specific adsorption of toxins, however, they suffer from insufficient hemocompatibility and low therapeutic efficiency during blood detoxification therapy. Herein, we combine an affinity membrane with a bioreactor develop purification cell functions. To fabricate membrane, polyethersulfone (iPES) macroporous support layer was prepared by phase inversion technique modified polydopamine (PDA). The iPES/PDA composite exhibited excellent biocompatibility compatibility, as well controllable permeability. Lysine (Lys) hepatocytes (C3A cells), which were selected ligand for bilirubin cells, respectively, immobilized on via active group adhesiveness PDA coating membrane. fabricated C3A cells-inoculated iPES/PDA/Lys not only achieved high activity function inoculated cells but also significantly improved toxin clearance efficiency.

Separation Efficiency of Epoxified-Polyethersulfone Blend Membrane for Chromium Removal
A microporous bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (DGEBA) epoxified-polyethersulfone (PES) blend membrane (EPES membrane) was prepared through dry-wet phase inversion. This study attempts to correlate the changes in membrane physical and chemical properties when the EPES membranes were exposed to different durations of dry-phase inversion, towards the separation efficiency of carcinogen chromium (VI)....
متن کاملEndotoxin removal by affinity sorbents.
Affinity sorbents and detoxification strategies are described to remove different amounts of endotoxin. Advantages and disadvantages of the employed ligands are discussed and it is shown that both electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions contribute to the association of ligands and endotoxins. Furthermore, the flexibility of the ligand is more important than an exact structural match between ...
متن کاملMembrane lipid composition and vesicle size modulate bilirubin intermembrane transfer. Evidence for membrane-directed trafficking of bilirubin in the hepatocyte.
To characterize the mechanisms underlying intracellular bilirubin transport, stopped-flow fluorometry was utilized to study the effects of membrane vesicle size and lipid composition on the kinetics of unconjugated bilirubin movement between model and native hepatocyte membranes. Bilirubin transfer rates declined asymptotically with increasing donor vesicle diameter, due primarily to a 1.4 kcal...

This is in response to a “Letter to the Editor (1)” by Dr. Bradding regarding our manuscript entitled “Airway smooth muscle cells enhance C3a-induced mast cell degranulation following cell-cell contact” that was published in your journal recently (2). Dr. Bradding contends that our manuscript, which utilizes a C3a-responsive human mast cell line, is misleading because “it ignores wealth of cons...
متن کاملMembrane Transporters for Bilirubin and Its Conjugates: A Systematic Review
Background: Bilirubin is a highly-hydrophobic tetrapyrrole which binds to plasma albumin. It is conjugated in the liver to glucuronic acid, and the water-soluble glucuronides are excreted in urine and bile. The membrane transporters of bilirubin diglucuronide are well-known. Still undefined are however the transporters performing the uptake of bilirubin from the blood into the liver, a process ...
